Good morning trapper's, what an exciting weekend we had full of vendors, and spectators, probably the largest group of non-trappers we have ever seen to come through our booth.
Thank you all for the opportunity to share our tradition and to show what we are about. This two day event has been a long time coming, and we feel it was a success and greatly look forward to the future with what has been put in place.
Thank you to the vendors who traveled long distance to help make this happen we appreciate you all, and look forward to the next event....... James Jackson
Absolutely a weekend full of fun!

I was proud of the turnout, kids everywhere. i talked to a lot of folks Saturday that had very little of knowledge about traps and trapping. Had a couple approach me because of me talking live market to another gentleman. They took the time to walk over to my truck and looked at traps and listened to me explain how the trap had changed . The lady had it in her mind an animal caught in a trap its leg was broken, i thought she was going to pass out when i snap that trap on my pinky finger. After our conversation i believe they would fall on our side . They have problems with red fox killing chickens and ducks they got my card and said they would be calling will see. Thanks for the bigger venue just what I wanted......Neal Way

Live trapline at the SC Trappers Convention. Kids had a blast. One Racoon showed up and was released but the nuisance beaver had to be removed. Kids were able to see the harvest and all the way to the processing of the catch. Boy Scout troop took home the pelt. A father and son took home the skull to prepare it for a wall item. The glands were utilized along with the meat by one of our trappers. Nothing wasted, and that’s what we wanted the kids to understand. Kids and the parents/leaders really have a tale to tell. Enjoyed by all......Bruce Baker
